#4 A Week Of Firsts

Wednesday of this week marked the beginning of Wellington's inaugural Fashion Week, which is a time for all the budding creative's based in the coolest little capital to showcase their work. Not only that, but it has also been my first ever Fashion Week in attendance. Because I was working not only as a photographer but a model as well, the week was bound to have it's fair share of firsts.. Regardless whether it was good or bad, every new experience holds something to learn from.
  1. First's at WFW:
  2. Photographing runway / In a photography pit
  3. High tea
  4. Stumble on the runway
  5. Modelling Bridal Couture
  6. French manicure
  7. Spending $200 solely on one pair shoes (I am too poor for this kind of spending ah!)

#3 Featured Blogger Article for Print. Magazine + Updates

This is me looking rather over excited. But for good reason! My tumblog was chosen as the featured blogger article in the latest issue of Print. Magazine. Grab yourself a copy here at their website, to see my photos and write up by the wonderful Nicole Leybourne. Recently I have also been busy covering the inaugural Wellington Fashion Week on behalf of Print. Magazine, shooting runway and backstage.
- More on this to come!

#2 Backstage - Kapiti Winter Collections Fashion Show

I snapped these backstage images a few weeks ago at the Kapiti Fashion Show, which featured the AW collections from local stores and designers that included Helen Ryan, Trelise Cooper, Hailwood, Minx Shoes, Paperdoll, Soho Boutique, and The Frock Shop. I also had the honour of showcasing my floral garland headpiece accessories alongside Sophie Voon bridal wear. The hair and make up was reminiscent of the 50s, with cherry red lips and chic ladylike up-dos resembling that of The Notebook.

#1 Hello, my name is

Hello Readers,
I created this blog as a way to share a bit of my world with you. I'm a seventeen year old creative, currently located in Wellington New Zealand, with an aim to be recognised for the things I enjoy most in the world. Speaking of; I love fashion, playing music, photographing and generally creating things. For the past 3 years I've grown to love second hand stores, with the notion that "one mans trash is another's treasure", and I am hoping to turn this obsession into an income by opening an online store some time in the near future. Until then, I model part time, busk on the streets of Wellington, sell crafts at markets, and more recently freelance as a photographer at local events. So yes, I hope you find that something to intrigue or inspire you inside this little soon-to-be action-packed blog - straight from my world to yours. Oh the wonders of the internet. In the mean time, here's my face.
